My name is Monroe. I?m a little Pit bull girl and I?m around six months old. My nicknames are Run-Roe, Roe-Roe, and Ruht-Roe (psst?only when I'm getting into things I'm not supposed to like Scooby Dooby Doo though). I?m a very special color that is hard to describe. I have big soulful, beautiful blue eyes. I have big satellite dish ears that move in many directions to help me hear. They will let you know when I am paying close attention to you too. I also have white on face, chest, and some on my feet too.
O.K. now... let me tell you about the really good stuff. ROOF, RUFF!! I?m very playful and love to have many different kinds of toys. I love chewing on rawhide bones to help me while I'm teething. I love to give and receive hugs and kisses all the time, 24/7. I love to watch leaves blowing and snowflakes falling; it makes me very frisky. I love watching flowers being planted and I?m curious about all new things that I discover each and every day. I love car rides and I?m a very good girl while riding. I love running alongside a companion while they are walking, jogging, or roller blading. I love to playfully wrestle with other dogs. OH! And I lived in a home with many kitty kitty cats and I loved chasing them too. I didn't understand why they ran from me though, because all I wanted was to be friendly and play with them. They are so puffy and soft?Anyway, I really love to cuddle & snuggle whenever I can, and I especially love it when sleeping with my loved ones arms holding me tight in a nice warm bed.
O.K. now?let me tell you about the sad stuff. Unfortunately, my family has found themselves in a difficult situation. It has caused them not to be able to love on me, squeeze on me, and cuddle me as much as they want to, and as much as they think I deserve. They want the best for me and are praying that I find a new family that has the time to experience the unconditional love I have to give for my entire lifetime. And it is because they love me so much that they have made the heartbreaking decision to place me up for adoption with Few Steps From Home Animal Rescue in Bay City, Michigan. My first family and I, and my temporary family at FSFH are all praying and hoping for a new family that will love on me, squeeze on me, cuddle and snuggle me, and give me as many hugs and kisses as my first family did each and every day. Oh, I miss them so much?

Adoption Fee is $200.00 tax deductible
Adoption fee covers for our Adoption Package for dogs which may include if over 6 months of age: heart worm checked, treated for any fleas and worms, microchipped, up to date rabies vaccination, spayed/neutered, DHLPP vaccinations. Discounted 30 days of health insurance, basic and problem solving training before and after adoption if needed. Full health records are provided to the adopters.
The Adoption fee we ask of adopters is not to pay for the dog. The dog itself is free! The Adoption fee is used merely to reimburse our rescue for veterinary expenses that any responsible owner would spend anyway when bringing a new dog into their home. Howeverever if there are any funds left over from one dogs adoption fee, it is used to help the next dog that comes along. Sometimes FSFH's veterinarian expenses on one animal will be less than this fee, but another dog might require several hundred additional dollars worth of care. Without being able to recover at least the minimal veterinarian expenses on our dogs, FSFH could not continue to rescue. FSFH's fee does not cover the general cost of keeping a dog in rescue (food, equipment, etc.). FSFH relies solely on donations to cover all other expenses related to caring for their rescued dogs.
